If you are new to podcasts I would like to welcome you and thank you for looking into the Twin Cities Geocaching Podcast. You do not need an iPod or stand-alone MP3 player to enjoy this and all other podcasts. If you have an internet connection and a computer (and if you are looking at this page I assume you do), you have all the necessary software to listen to a podcast, rigt on your very own computer.

To download the podcast you can do one of two things:
  1. go to the main page (http://www.tcgcpc.com) and either click on the "Click Here To Play" link, and it will play right on your computer, or right click the "Click Here To Play" link and choose "Save Link As" or "Save Target As" depending on your browser, then you can can save it right to your computer and put it on your MP3 player or play it in your favoriate audio software (like WinAmp, Windows Media player or Quicktime). This option will work if you want to manually get each episode.
  2. You can automate the process to automatically get the current and all future (and all past if you want them) episodes. To do this you will need a "podcatcher" program. They are free and a bunch of them exist. If you are using an apple or use iTunes, you can use that. I use a program that is free called Juice - http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/index.php

Once you have your podcatcher installed, open it and add a feed, my feed URL is http://www.tcgcpc.com/feed.cfm or if you have problem getting that one to work (I know it works well with Juice) you can use: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TCGCPC

Then you just need to figure out where the podcatcher is putting your files. If you are using Juice, in the "Subscriptions" Tab right click on the Twin Cities GeoCaching PodCast item and choose "Open Downloads Folder" and it will open it for you. Then you can copy it to your mp3 player or play it on your computer.

Let me know if you need more detailed instructions.

Thanks.
